Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

AX was only last week, but it seems forever ago~

It was a con of ups and downs. The amount of stress congoers experience on average is ridiculous compared to other cons I've been to, the sheer size of the center and number of attendees cause a lot of complications that con management still hasn't been able to address properly.

But, I have to say the quality of cosplay was also the best I've seen so far. Cosplayers really step it up, and the results are incredible. It was an honor shooting with old and new friends, you were all fantastic and I had great fun!!

To get to southern California I carpooled down to Los Angeles with ~bekalou-cosplay
It was 6 hours one way. I fell asleep a couple of times, my bad. ;^; There was lots of dead grass and dryness with random fast-food truck stops every once in a while... not too scenic.

After reaching LA we met up with our roomies at our ~*fancy & super beautiful hotel*~ and ate lunch while waiting for check-in.

LUNCH 8)

Very little sleep occurred for anyone, there was crazy sewing and late-night/early morning shoots~ it was Fanime all over again. Con adrenaline is magical stuff! I had less shoots than my other cons, so I was able to go to a few panels... Katsuyuki Konishi did Kamina and America セリフ~!

On Saturday night was the masquerade, which the roomies won "Honorable Mention Best in Show" for! o/ They were so fantastic! Their performance is on ACP here (login required): [link]

The masquerade was held next door to the con center in the large Nokia Theatre, its lights at night were super cool.

Overall AX was a good experience, not sure if I want to return next year though. That was the last con for the summer, but I have more than enough photos to keep me processing until October... then it's DIRTY FUN Y-CON TIME. CANNOT WAIT. //_______//
